I just cancelled my GitHub.com premium $4/month subscription that I've had for years, taken down (mostly) all my repos, and moved them to my self-hosted gitea server running on my old laptop.

Mostly because I know that Github does not respect the user's privacy and will definitely use my "private" repos as LLM training data (they already have, but at least now I won't be further contributing to it).
But also because Github is an "prime" security attack target, and Microsoft has a long history of steadily degrading the quality of their products.
I'll give you an account if you know me and ask.
